When evening came and we were finished running around, scraping our knees and getting grass stains on our pants; we often played board games with our family. Here are some classic board games from the 1970s. Some of them are still popular today!
If you want to relive the memories of these classic, retro board games, you can buy them at VintageGameWorld.com
You can find much more information about other classic childhood games, both indoors and out, on Games We Played.

I never thought I’d find all this info in just one site. It is amazing that you were able to put all this info together. And YOU have a BOOK! I would love to read your book.
Thanks! You can follow the story om Facebook and Twitter too! Like the song, “this is the game that never ends, it just goes on and on my friends…”
If you want a bit more help on the marketing side, or if you want to find other ways on how you can market your book, I can point you in the right direction. There are other ways besides Facebook and Twitter. I think what you have there is a GREAT book and deserve to be out in the market for people both young and old to enjoy. Have a great day! xx Gen
Thanks so much Gen.
Best regards
Tom

I am remembering a game from late 70s-80s. Bulding sandwiches or crazy food. Don’t remember much else. Any ideas?
It was called Silly Sandwich – I think. Where you could make a sandwich with ice cream, sardines, etc. Would love to find a copy of that game – any suggestions? Thanks.
Hi Julie and Betsy. You can find some photos of Silly Sandwich at http://www.boardgamegeek.com/boardgame/28278/silly-sandwich
If you register on the site I think that you can trade things with the owner of the game or buy it from them. Not too sure though!
What a blast from the past!
Thanks!
Do you remember a board game where the “players” were ice cubes with feet. You moved the cubes from one place to another, dropping them in water or pouring salt on them. The winner was the one who made it all the way to the end without melting.
Name of 1970s game where there were little pop ups on a vinyl sheet & you had to grab it before it popped up, they were on springs or suction cups
I played a game in the 1970s .. I think… with a plastic Eygptian coffin and keys you had to remove to win…. how do I find it again… drsusanallan@yahoo.com.au
Hi Susan. Was is Curse of the Cobras?
Curse of the Cobras was released in 1981. Players would take turns inserting plastic keys into a sarcophagus. One of the holes in the sarcophagus had a mechanical switch that released the “trap” that revealed a skull head and launched a cobra ring around your wrist. The mechanism reset to a new hole each time.

Ice cube game been looking all over for it
The new Zune browser is sglprisinury good, but not as good as the iPod’s. It works well, but isn’t as fast as Safari, and has a clunkier interface. If you occasionally plan on using the web browser that’s not an issue, but if you’re planning to browse the web alot from your PMP then the iPod’s larger screen and better browser may be important.
